The Power of Wedding Bands

The Power of Wedding Bands

Wedding rings have been a part of the marriage ritual since antiquity, the Christian symbolism given your bands of silver or gold have a much higher meaning.

The ancient Egyptians believed that the left ring finger enclosed a special vein that was connected directly to the heart. The Spanish, placed the ring on the ring finger of the left hand, next to the middle finger because that’s where the beat of the heart could be felt most strongly; this symbolizes the love which should be reserved for God

These rings are your (“covenants”), signifying your commitment, fidelity, and love for each other.

Always wear your rings representing your love and fidelity as part of your spousal duty and it will help form an unbreakable bond and a protection against evil.

Today God has assigned a special angel to protect both your marriage and each of you individually as “one flesh,” which is what you now are.

One flesh is what man and woman were when God created Eve from Adam’s rib; they return to being one flesh, through marriage, until death do them part and they become like angels in heaven. (Mark 12:25)

We congratulate you and wish many years of happiness in good health.

Love to you both.
